ASO Scout is operated by Zen Labo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. In these terms, “we” means Zen Labo Ltd and “you” means the person using ASO Scout.

By using ASO Scout — including looking up an app without an account — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. If you are using ASO Scout for a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf, and “you” means that company as well.

You may not use the service if sanctions or export controls that apply to us prohibit it.

ASO Scout reads your app's public App Store listing, works out the search phrases it uses, and reports where your app appears for them, how many people search each phrase, and how strong the competition is. It also suggests phrases you are not using yet, and grades your Title and Subtitle.

You can also register competitor apps and compare their public listings and rankings with yours, see which search phrases entered or climbed a country's monthly report, and read an app's public reviews and rating. All of it comes from public App Store data.

For phrases you choose to watch, we check your position again every day and record how it changes.

We report. You decide. Anything we label as a suggestion is a suggestion. You choose what to put in your App Store listing, and you publish it through Apple, not through us.

You can look up any app without an account. Anonymous use shows three phrases from the app's listing. Creating an account opens every phrase and every tool for three days, with no card required. Free accounts can keep up to two apps.

Paid plans are Starter, Plus and Studio, monthly or yearly. The current prices, and what each plan includes, are shown on our pricing page and inside the app. Introductory pricing for the first 500 customers applies while it is displayed, and we honour it for as long as that subscription stays active.

Plan limits — how many phrases you can watch, how many competitors you can register, and how many apps you can keep — are shown with each plan and enforced by the service.

You create an account with Google or with an email address and password. Firebase Authentication, operated by Google, handles sign-in and password resets.

Keep your Google account, email account and password secure. If you lose access, use the password reset option or contact us and we will do what we reasonably can.

You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

A new account receives one 3-day free trial. No card is required and no subscription starts automatically. When it ends, paid features lock unless you choose a plan.

If you subscribe, your card is charged when you confirm Stripe Checkout. The plan then renews automatically — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

The trial is for people who have not subscribed before. We may decline to offer it again to the same customer.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you are. If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend access until it succeeds.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

The trial is how you try the service. It exists so you can see exactly what you get before any money changes hands. Once a payment has been taken, it is not refundable, and neither are unused parts of a month or a year.

Cancelling and refunding are different things. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not return one already made.

If something is genuinely broken on our side, tell us. We would rather fix it or put it right than leave you stuck, and we will look at a refund case by case.

If you are a consumer, this does not affect any statutory right you have.

We may change our prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you by email before it applies to your next renewal. If you do not want the new price, cancel before then.

While your subscription is active we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use ASO Scout for your own apps, or for the apps of the company you accepted these terms for. That right ends when your subscription ends.

You keep your own material. Your app, your listing, and the text you write are yours. We claim nothing in them.

We keep ours. The service, its interface, our scoring and our suggestion logic, and the data sets we build stay ours. Nothing here transfers them to you.

Anything you export — a CSV of your table, for example — is yours to use in your own business. Do not republish it as a data product or resell it.

When we measure a search phrase, we keep that measurement and reuse it for everyone. Two customers watching the same phrase in the same country are served from the same reading. This is how we can charge what we charge, and it is why we ask the App Store once rather than once per customer.

Those measurements are about phrases and public search results, not about you. We do not publish which phrases you watch, which apps you keep, or anything else that identifies you or your account.

Almost everything ASO Scout shows you comes from Apple — the App Store search results, your app's listing, and Apple's own search popularity figures. We collect and present that data; we do not produce it and we do not control it.

We do not guarantee that this data is accurate, complete, current, or available. Apple can change what it publishes, how its search works, and how it ranks apps at any time, without notice to us or to you. Search results also differ by country, device and person, so a position we record may not be the position you see.

Some figures are estimates rather than measurements, and we label them where we can. Treat everything here as one input to your decision, not the only one.

ASO Scout is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. App Store is a trademark of Apple Inc.

We do not promise that using ASO Scout, or acting on anything it suggests, will improve your ranking, your downloads, or your revenue. We cannot promise it will not make them worse.

App Store ranking depends on things we can neither see nor control: your downloads, retention, ratings, what your competitors do, what Apple changes, and how Apple weighs all of it. Editing your title, subtitle or keyword field changes one input among many.

Changes you make take time to matter. An App Store edit ships with your next release and search can take a further two to four weeks to catch up. A position that has not moved is not evidence that something is broken.

What you publish is your decision and your responsibility. That includes making sure your listing complies with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and does not infringe anyone else's trade marks. We do not review your listing for compliance, and we are not responsible for the consequences if Apple rejects, removes or penalises your app.

To the extent the law allows, ASO Scout is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not promise the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. We may take it down for maintenance, and it can be affected by things outside our control. We do not offer a service level agreement.

We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you rely on, we will tell you by email before it goes.

One subscription is for one person, or one company. Do not share your account or resell what you get from it.

Do not scrape the service, automate it beyond normal use, work around plan limits, or use it to build a competing product. Do not attempt to break into it, or to use it in a way that puts our access to Apple's services at risk.

We may suspend or close an account that does any of this.

If a claim is brought against us because of what you published, because you broke these terms, or because you infringed someone else's rights, you agree to cover our reasonable losses, costs and legal fees from it. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and not settle it without asking you.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost downloads, lost revenue, lost rankings, lost data, or business interruption — whether or not we were told such loss was possible.

If we are liable to you for something, our total liability for all claims is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights.

You can stop using ASO Scout at any time. Cancel from your account page or email us.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms. If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of what you paid.

When your account ends you lose access to the service. Export anything you want to keep first. What happens to your stored data after that is set out in our Privacy page.

We may change these terms. If a change matters to you, we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also have the right to bring proceedings where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory law of that country.

Before starting anything formal, email us. Most things are quicker to sort out that way.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands and that part is read as narrowly as it needs to be to work.

These terms, together with our Privacy page, are the whole agreement between us about ASO Scout, and replace anything said before.

Not enforcing something once does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without asking us; we may transfer ours if the business changes hands, and will tell you if that happens.

Neither of us is liable for a failure caused by something genuinely outside our control. Notices to you go to the email address on your account; notices to us go to the address below.
